Rev. Peter Hernandez, Assistant Director

A Santa Barbara native, Rev. Peter Hernandez was artistic director for Inner Light Gospel Choir between 2001-2008. As a member of Inner Light since 1992, he learned singing gospel music at the feet of the founder, Bishop Mama Pat Patrick. Rev. Hernandez has studied music at SBCC and UCSB, and is a minister in good standing with the New Order of Glastonbury. He was a singer in Canticle a Cappella Choir since 2001, past President of the Beacon of Light Foundation and past member of the Inter-Faith Ministers Alliance, past director of Santa Barbara Unity Church Contemporary Service and Unity Gospel Choir, past director of Santa Barbara Treble Clef (an all women's choir) and was singer/director in Mama's Voices, a tight praise & worship team specializing in spirituals and acapellas. Currently he is the assistant director for Inner Light Gospel Choir, and a member of the Unity Singers.
